Crunch Block - Privacy Policy

Crunch Block is a browser extension that blocks advertisements and pop-up tabs.

What the extension does NOT collect

It does not collect, store or send the pages you visit, your browsing history, your searches, your passwords or any content of the websites you open. Ad blocking happens entirely inside your browser.

What is sent

• Free trial: a one-way hashed device identifier (a random-looking code made from technical browser properties, from which nothing about you can be read) and the IP address of the request, only to make sure the free trial is used once per device.
• License: your license key and that hashed device identifier, to check that the license is valid and to limit the number of devices per license.
• Filter lists: the extension downloads public ad filter lists (EasyList, uBlock filters, Peter Lowe's list). These requests contain no personal data.

Payments

Payments are handled by Polar (merchant of record) with card. We never see your card details. Polar sends your license key to the e-mail address you give at checkout.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share data with anyone. Data is stored on Cloudflare (trial and license checks) and Polar (orders).

Contact / deletion

To ask for deletion of your license data, contact us through the e-mail on your purchase receipt.
